Breaking Barriers - Meaningful employment for refugees

Quality English is proud to announce its partnership with Breaking Barriers to support the important work they do in empowering refugees through education and employment.

Previously delivered by RefuAid, the Language Programme has found a new and dedicated home at Breaking Barriers since December 2024. BB works to support refugees into meaningful employment through personalised advice, education, and training, including high-quality English language tuition.

The Language Programme specifically aims to break down language barriers for those who have claimed asylum in the UK. To date, BB has partnered with over 135 private, for-profit English language schools that generously offer free tuition to BB students for as long as needed, providing access to structured and accredited courses.

In addition to free tuition, BB covers travel expenses, course materials, and up to two exam attempts per student. The organisation also offers one-to-one casework support to ensure students are well-equipped to succeed. Whether learners are pursuing higher education or looking to enter the UK workforce, the programme provides a crucial pathway to recognised language certification and broader opportunities.
