The ever-evolving Academic Camp has three exciting news updates to kick-off 2022

Academic Camp, Greece

For over ten years, Academic Camp has been welcoming students from all over the world to their schools in the UK, Canada, Switzerland, and Germany. Greece is the newest addition to this impressive portfolio. Situated on the exclusive island of Spetses, a short ferry ride from the mainland is Academic Camp's new home, Anargyrios & Korgialenios School. Beautiful, beach-side gardens, surrounded by olive groves and pine forests, encompass the school for a safe, fun and exhilarating camp. This superb location allows the camp to explore Greece’s ancient wonders, including Epidaurus & Ancient Troezean, Mycenaean Tombs, and Athens.

Lucky students will spend their mornings learning in the air-conditioned classrooms before heading to the beach for some well-deserved leisure time. As with all Academic Camp courses, students will participate in exciting electives, including water sports, and benefit from the accredited Be a Leader.

Get Ready for University

Get Ready for University is Academic Summers newest elective. Students can choose to spend three afternoons per week preparing for university.
Topics will include finding a course, personal statement writing, accreditation, portability of credentials, admissions, finances, scholarships, work during studies and after graduation, and international opportunities. The programme includes a campus visit to a top university and a lecture from a guest speaker. This practical elective will give participants a competitive advantage, focus and knowledge, plus a rich set of resources when applying to university.

Academic Camp Holidays

Academic Camp comes to the rescue this Easter and half-term to give students an alternative to spending their break with a host family. Academic Camp Holidays offers the perfect combination of rest, revision and enjoyment during the holidays.

The Easter course will provide a mixture of supervised study, elective activities, trips and optional workshops. The course includes Get Ready for University, use of Queens' fantastic facilities including the swimming pool, plus meals out and trips to London, Bristol, Bath and Exeter.

May half-term will be a more relaxed affair with optional electives and sport options, supervised and private study and the chance to explore Taunton with friends.

Students will return to school feeling energised, prepared and ready to start the new term.
