Highlights and new courses at Academic Summer in 2022

In Summer 2021 Academic Summer welcomed over 500 students from 40 different countries to their Academic Camps in Switzerland, Germany and the UK.

The school used their professionalism, experience, teamwork and energy to give the students on their camps a fantastic Academic Summer. It was hard work and the turbulent times have tested them. Running during Covid times has meant they can add to  their statistics 701 PCR tests and 6 positive cases. However, despite this students were able to study their academic subjects, follow the school's accredited Be a Leader course and enjoy activities and trips out. Academic Summer could see students really appreciated being able to travel, have fun with their peers and get back to face-to-face learning.

The team is now excited to announce their plans for 2022. Here are some of the highlights:

5 top locations: London, Bristol, Switzerland, Germany or Canada. Each location is unique and offers something special.

Students can join Engagers (15+) , Explorers(12-14 yrs) or Adventurers (7-12 yrs). Students enjoy a wide range of academic subjects as well as improving their language skills by learning how to give a good presentation and write an essay through our unique CLIL methodology. 

For ambitious students age 15+ they have specialist courses, where students can get ready for their future: Get Ready for Computer Science, IELTS or Medicine.

All students participate on their CPD accredited Be a Leader* programme where they discover and develop communication, negotiation, problem solving and presentation skills. 

The school has two ½ day trips and two full day trips every week. Highlights include Paris, London, Stratford-up-Avon, Brighton, Buckingham Palace, Geneva. Students in London enjoy a trip every single day!

Brand new for 2022:

English Academy: exclusively for groups travelling with leaders the English Academy is an affordable, high quality English programme for groups coming to central London.

Electives: The brand new elective afternoons allow students to chose their favourite activities so they are only ever doing something that excites them.  Options include:  athletics, games, food technology, arts and crafts, drama, outdoor education, English workshop, horse-riding**, golf **
