Pearson is delighted to be partnering with Quality English in 2024, to showcase innovations and developments that drive improvements in English language learning in the UK, Ireland and elsewhere.  

We have created an English Language Learning and assessment ecosystem which English is driven by the Global Scale of English, allowing learners to build their confidence and fast-track their progress in English. In 2023 we have also extended this to make the Global Scale of Languages, doing the same as the GSE for Spanish, Italian, German and French, ensuring teachers and learners have unparalleled insights into their language skills.

The Global Scale of English underpins our leading English language titles and these are used by leading schools in the UK and Ireland, contributing to the quality of the learning experience of all students studying there.

We also support learners in certifying their English skills for studying at university in an English-speaking country. We do this through PTE Academic, a computer-based language test that provides unbiased and secure proof of a test taker’s English skills for study, professional and migration purposes. The test is accepted by the UK, Australian, and New Zealand governments for study and migration along with over 3,000 universities and colleges around the world, including 99% of universities in the UK and all universities in Ireland. Completed in two hours at one of over 450 test centres around the world, and with results returned within 48 hours, PTE Academic is the English test without the stress.
