A breath of fresh air – our new 35+ and 50+ English language retreats are here!

We’re so excited to share something new from the Languages United team in Bath – we've just launched a brand-new series of English Language Experiences and Retreats, designed especially for students aged 35+ and 50+.

You asked… and we listened. So many of our partners have told us that there’s a growing demand for English language programmes that cater to mature learners – people who want to improve their English, yes, but who also want more than just classroom time. They’re looking for culture, connection, and a truly meaningful experience.

So, we’ve created exactly that.

Our 35+ and 50+ courses combine morning English lessons (with small, supportive groups) with immersive cultural and wellbeing experiences in the stunning city of Bath – think walking tours, spa visits, festivals, creative workshops, and a proper taste of British life. It’s all about learning English in context, enjoying time with like-minded people, and embracing everything this beautiful part of the UK has to offer.

Whether it’s a wellness-themed week during the ReBalance Festival, a cultural deep dive into Jane Austen’s Bath, or a Spring escape with cream teas and countryside walks, there’s a course for every season and every type of learner. These are adult-only, small-group experiences with a big heart – perfect for solo travellers, career-breakers, and retirees with a passion for language and travel.

We’d love your help spreading the word to clients who are looking for something a little different – and as always, we’re happy to work with you on tailor-made options too.
