The Languages United PRELIM Certificate Ceremony

The Languages United PRELIM Certificate Ceremony

Languages United is delighted that their school was one of 17 schools selected to deliver the PRELIM course. The remote teacher training course was in partnership with ETAG (English Teachers Association of Georgia), British Council and IATEFL.

The course finished at the end of March with a wonderful online ceremony. This was their first ever online ceremony and Languages United was privileged to have had Roy Cross from the British Council as their special guest. From ETAG their guests were Manana Ruseishvili, Rusiko and Maia Tkemaladze.

The Languages United team members were all there with Dan Bryan, the project manager, Slavenka Vukovic-Bryan, the Director of Studies, Jayne Bowra, Senior teacher and Deborah Pooley, one of the key teachers.

The students made the team proud with their confident speeches and fantastic enthusiasm for the course. The feedback was brilliant and they could not have asked for more.

Here is what just one of them, Zurab K., said in his feedback:

"This excellent course helped me in all directions. Improved my English languages speaking and writing skills. I become more confident in conversation. As a teacher, this project also helped me to improve my English language teaching skills. The activities used during the lessons were very useful. Also, the resources shared by our excellent teachers have helped me a lot to work directly with my students. And finally, I would like to note that this course also helped me to improve and develop online teaching methods, technical or otherwise in any directions."

The icing on the cake was when the Georgian students sent Languages United flowers, which arrived at the school in Bath, just before Easter. It was such a wonderful surprise!

Great partnership and great results. Languages United and their team have all gained partners for life!
