BSS Experience featuring True Me

At British Summer School, we believe that social skills and self-reflection are essential skills for children to learn from a young age, helping them grow into happier, more confident, and successful individuals. Every course includes the BSS Experience – an engaging programme of evening activities featuring fun, sociable challenges designed to deliver True Me. True Me is our core philosophy, celebrating authenticity, growth, and self-discovery.

Think of social communication as a “language to learn”, during our courses children arrive with a difference in their ability to learn this language, just as they have other learning differences. By fostering a fun, safe environment with positive leadership, we believe effective communication can be successfully taught.

Every evening is a new experience, and every experience builds personal skills, social skills, self-confidence, and a deeper sense of authenticity -

Our students experience a range of team games, icebreaker activities and fun challenges, such as:

• Escape Rooms
• House Song/Dance Competition
• Murder Mystery
• Olympic Games
• Talent Show
• And much more…

On Fridays during class time, students take part in a guided self-reflection session led by their teacher. They reflect on what they have learned about themselves, their performance and how their personal skills, social skills, self-confidence, and authenticity have improved throughout the week.
