Languages United celebrates Jane Austen festival in Bath in full style

This blog post comes to you in the style of Lady Whistledown from Bridgeton - hope you enjoy reading it.

Dear Esteemed Readers and Gentlefolk,

Ah, what a splendid September it has been in the charming city of Bath, UK! One could hardly ask for a more picturesque setting for the Jane Austen Festival, which commenced with a grand promenade reminiscent of the Regency era. Bath basked beneath the warm embrace of the sun, casting a golden glow upon the resplendent period costumes that graced our streets. Against the backdrop of Bath's stately Georgian architecture and the velvety cream hue of its Bath stone, the scene was nothing short of breathtaking.

At Languages United, we have been delighted to intertwine our General English courses with this delightful festival. Our students have had the opportunity of not only participating in our lessons but also immersing themselves in the Jane Austen Festival's offerings. In their quest to master the English language, our students explore the very city locations that have played a role in countless Jane Austen novels, as well as the beguiling world of the Bridgerton series.

Summer, too, witnessed our students dancing through time with the Jane Austen Dancers (watch full video), a memory they will undoubtedly treasure for years to come. The merriment of those days still lingers in our hearts.

As September unfolded, its golden rays of sunshine warmed not only the city but also our hearts as we welcomed groups from Italy and added new adult students from Japan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Turkey to our English language learning community. Our General English courses, Accent Softening courses, and Online English courses have been enriched by this diverse tapestry of homestays who graciously open their doors to provide our students with a taste of British life and culture.

In the coming months, our indefatigable marketing team shall embark on a grand tour to share the wonders of Languages United with the world. Our destinations include a number of Quality English missions - Bogota in Colombia, and the splendid cities of Rome and Madrid. In Madrid, Quality English celebrates its 20th Anniversary and we are delighted that we will be taking part in it.

We eagerly anticipate any questions or inquiries that may arise on this voyage.

As the crisp autumn breeze gently ushers in October, the bustling halls of Languages United are filled with excitement and anticipation. The charms of September have paved the way for a vibrant autumn, and our beloved school is abuzz with activity.

In the coming weeks, September and October, our school shall be a whirlwind of activity as we welcome groups from far-flung corners of the world, including the enchanting lands of Italy, the majestic mountains of Switzerland, and the rich cultural tapestry of Ukraine. We await their arrival with open arms and warm hearts, ready to embark on a journey of language and culture immersion in the heart of Bath.

With each passing day, our students shall step into a world where history and modernity coexist in perfect harmony. The cobbled streets of Bath shall be their classroom, and the city's rich heritage their textbook. From the Roman Baths to the Royal Crescent, every corner of Bath shall be a treasure trove of knowledge waiting to be discovered.

As the seasons change, so too do the faces that grace our halls, each one adding to the vibrant mosaic of Languages United. Our dedication to providing a nurturing and enriching experience remains unwavering, and we eagerly anticipate the adventures that await our students and guests.

Should any inquiries or curiosities arise, do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our doors are always open, and we are here to assist you on your journey of language and discovery.

Until we meet again in the pages of our next newsletter, dear readers, may your days be filled with the joy of knowledge and the warmth of community.

Yours in Language and Learning,

Slavenka and the Languages United Team
