Jonathan Swindell

Chief Executive

I was appointed as Chief Executive in early 2016. Throughout my career within the Education sector I have always strived to maintain and promote the highest standards wherever I have worked. Firstly with the General Teaching Council which served to regulate teaching in England and subsequently in my role with the Association of Business Executives (an international examination board and membership body) where I worked closely with private colleges all over the world.

More recently, when working at the International Study and Language Institute (ISLI) at the University of Reading I was introduced to the world of ELT and all its challenges and threats, but I was soon captivated by this incredible industry. Its a world full of passionate professionals that never ceases to surprise and excite.

As Chief Executive, it is my role to maintain the high standards of Quality English (QE) and Quality Education (QEd), always ensuring that our licensed schools and colleges meet the high expectations of international students and their parents.

Kathi Gerth

Marketing and Operations Manager

After having worked for 6 years as Marketing and Operations Manager at Atlas Language School, one of the largest, independent language schools in Dublin, I joined Quality English as Marketing Executive in 2019.

I had regularly come across Quality English on industry events and have always been curious about what they are doing and how they interact between schools and agents. I am now looking after the Marketing, both online and offline, and am organising the QE e-Missions (online events) as well as the QE Missions (face-to-face events). I also take care of product advancement and process development and promote the network of Associate Schools.

With a background in education and many years’ experience in working with schools, agents and students, I understand the needs and requirements of all parties involved.

Alina Kononenko

Agent Relations Officer

I started my career in international education as an academic advisor and event manager for the market leading agency in Kazakhstan. I then joined MPW College Group in the UK as their Regional Manager looking after CIS countries, where my main responsibilities were brand awareness, student recruitment and expansion of agent network. My latest position as a Founder and Director of Bartons&Ko, led me to organise unique tours across the UK for international students, families and education agents. The specifics were to help international agents and students to get familiar with the British system of education.

My career narrative has been focused towards international education and relationship development. I have joined the Quality English Team in 2024 as their Agent Relations Officer to be part of a reputable brand, to help it grow its presence globally and become a valued support for its agent members by providing the required assistance and impeccable customer service.

Romy Martin

Marketing Manager

I've been working in the marketing industry for the last 20 years, developing and executing strategies that have significantly contributed to the success of various campaigns. My strong academic background in Marketing, Product Development, Project Management, and Account Management has provided me with a solid foundation, and I have experience working for various associations and brands.

Working for Quality English is an amazing experience for me. Right now, I am taking care of Kathi's tasks while she is on maternity leave and enjoying every step of the way, especially being in contact with the members of our association.
