Burgess Hill Girls, founded in 1906, features a secure 14-acre campus set within a conservation area in the heart of West Sussex. Surrounded by natural woodland and open playing fields, it blends characterful historic architecture with modern, state-of-the-art academic, sports, and performing arts facilities. Conveniently located close to Brighton and London, the school offers a vibrant yet safe community atmosphere. Its comfortable boarding facilities and self-contained grounds make Burgess Hill an ideal site for students seeking a welcoming, inspiring, and enriching summer school experience in Sussex. Exclusively in Burgess Hill, Bede’s Summer School is offering an exciting ‘Future Explorers’ course ideal for 8-13 year olds. The carefully developed course will allow students to challenge their curiosity for exploration, with a number of outdoor projects and thought-provoking topics during their Mission Possible and Exploration lessons which will complement developing their English Skills.

Burgess Hills Girls joined Bede’s Trust in June 2026. The merger brings together two leading Sussex independent schools with shared values and a commitment to providing an excellent, rounded education.
