Erasmus+ at CEC: empowering educators

Posted under on

CEC were delighted to recently hold our first Erasmus+ English for Educational Professionals Programme of 2026.

This Erasmus+ course brought together educational professionals from across Europe, with participants joining us from France, Germany, Spain, and Czechia. Designed specifically for professionals working in education, the programme focuses on building practical English communication skills for the workplace. Through scenario-based training and collaborative learning, participants gain a real understanding of how English is used in everyday professional contexts.

The course places strong emphasis on confidence, clarity, and intercultural communication, enabling participants to engage effectively with international students and colleagues. By sharing their own professional experiences, attendees contribute to a rich and interactive learning environment that reflects real-world challenges in education.

Alongside their lessons, participants also enjoyed a rich social and cultural programme, giving them a real taste of life in Cork. Highlights included a Cork City Walking Tour, a visit to Nano Nagle Place, a contemporary Irish history workshop, a tour of Franciscan Well Brewery, and a day trip to the seaside town of Cobh, including the Titanic Experience Cobh.

It was fantastic to see such a collaborative and international group learning together, and we’re proud to support educational professionals in building the skills they need to connect and communicate across cultures.
