It has been a month filled with colour, culture, and connection.
As spring arrived in Shrewsbury, our classrooms and town came alive with the energy of students from all over the world—each bringing something unique to our community.
This month, we were especially delighted to celebrate the contributions of several students who have made April unforgettable. Junior students from Thailand shared what it’s like being a teenager in Bangkok with the Shropshire hosts. They also got the opportunity to visit a British manufacturing company and the world of Harry Potter! Nao returned from Japan to revisit her favourite parts of the historic market town.
Our European students also added to the vibrancy of the month. Johann from France sparked lively discussion in his class, while Martha from Switzerland made the most of her time exploring Shrewsbury’s riverside paths. Constanin from Germany brought plenty of enthusiasm to our learning sessions, helping classmates practise English through humour and fun.
From further afield, June from China shared stories about spring celebrations back home, and Nasser from Saudi Arabia introduced classmates to traditional greetings and customs, sparking thoughtful conversations about cultural similarities.
Across our social media channels, these moments have shone brightly—photos of shared meals, group outings, and classmates’ laughter capturing the spirit of Severnvale: a place where learning and friendship grow side by side.
As we look ahead to May, we’re excited to continue building on this sense of community. Thank you to all our students for making April such a joyful and inspiring month.
