St Clare’s, Oxford has announced the launch of its new Summer Teenagers Programme for 2026 at Merrist Wood Campus in Surrey.
Set within 400 acres of beautiful countryside, Merrist Wood is a Further and Higher Education campus which offers a peaceful countryside location featuring a working farm and an animal management centre (with a licensed zoo). Its location just outside Guildford places students within easy reach of both local culture and central London.
- The Teenagers: Merrist Wood programme offers two course pathways:
- Immersive English – with weekly electives in Animal Health & Conservation, Bushcraft, Football Coaching and Visual Arts. The electives are intentionally designed to be unplugged experiences, encouraging students to reconnect with nature and hands-on creativity while still recognising the value of technology in modern learning.
- Leadership & Sustainability – Learn about the major challenges our world is facing today, such as climate change, food poverty, and wealth inequality and explore how organisations are responding through corporate social responsibility (CSR) and social impact initiatives. This course gives you practical knowledge, useful tools, and leadership skills to help you create positive and lasting change.
The Immersive English programme is built around sustainability themes such as “Farm to Fork,” enabling students to take full advantage of Merrist Wood’s unique setting.

Students will enjoy a rich, varied programme of activities each week, including sports, outdoor workshops, yoga, bushcraft, survival skills, nature crafts and movie nights. The programme includes excursions to London, Windsor Castle, Canterbury and Oxford.
Accommodation is in comfortable university-style single rooms arranged in small residential flats. Students benefit from full board meals and comprehensive 24-hour welfare support.
Students can join for 2+ weeks with July 2026 start dates. Fees include tuition, accommodation, meals, activities, excursions, insurance and airport transfers.
