Luanne McCallum from Quality English school, Interlink School of Languages tells us why Cape Town is such a great destination for English language students.

Cape Town is an ideal destination for English language students. There is so much to discover and far more to the city than meets the eye.  It is multicultural, beautiful, has a warm summer and temperate winter climate, and most importantly, the people are open-minded and relaxed, so it is easy for students to practice their English!

Cape Town boasts a multitude of entertainment, ranging from beautiful beaches and outdoor activities to a roaring night life. The vast range of shopping opportunities includes haggling with shopkeepers at the Flea Markets to strolling through sophisticated and stylish shopping malls. The huge variety of restaurants reflects the multicultural history of the Cape and caters for everyone's taste, from local foods to fast-food outlets to the most chic and elegant restaurants.

The city lies at the northern end of the Cape Peninsula, a 75-km (44-mi) tail of mountains that hangs down from the tip of Africa, ending at the Cape of Good Hope. Drive 15 minutes in any direction and you will find yourself in a stunning landscape of 18th-century Cape Dutch manors, historic wineries, and white-sandy beaches backed by sheer mountains.

No matter what students’ interests or preferences, experiencing Cape Town and its surroundings is hard to beat. Wildlife, wine, outdoor activities, history, mountains, beaches, music – Cape Town has it all! Cape Town is unique!
