Introduction At ECSL, we understand that a student’s language school experience lasts a lifetime and that choosing where to study is a major decision. Our students describe our school as a family, where they feel comfortable and cared for. We are strict about some things – attendance, homework, our English-only policy and the number of students we accept from any one nationality. We also have fun – in our school, we never know when we’ll have an impromptu birthday party, a dance show, or a sing-along!

Location

East Coast School of Languages is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia on the eastern coast of Canada. Nova Scotia is a wonderful province with beautiful countryside and warm, friendly people. Halifax is a small, vibrant city located on the world’s second biggest natural harbour. Our school is in downtown Halifax – close to shops, restaurants, movie theatres and bars. We have many universities and colleges so there are lots of young students who bring energy and excitement to our city.

Social Programme

Our fun social activity program encourages students to visit places in Halifax and Nova Scotia and to experience some Canadian culture. Students can go to maple sugar farms, theatres, museums, and ice hockey matches. They can learn skating, skiing, and curling and can also take part in movie nights, sporting events and overnight trips to exciting and beautiful destinations such as Cape Breton and Prince Edward Island.
