QE York, Melton College
Melton College is a family-run school close to the centre of York. Founded in 1962, the College specialises in general English, IELTS preparation and special courses for schools and organisations.
The College has excellent facilities including large and peaceful gardens, ideal for relaxing between lessons. The small size of the College means we can give our clients a high level of individual attention.
Location
York is a lively and historic city. A centre for shopping, culture, and nightlife! York is also one of the best-connected cities in the UK. York is on the mainline between London (2 hours) and Edinburgh (2.5 hours). In addition, we have a direct link to Manchester Airport. The Lake District, Snowdonia, Liverpool, Leeds and Newcastle are within easy reach.
Social Programme
Every week we run a social programme. Over the last twelve months this has included: Quiz Nights, Barbecues, Ghost Walks, Food Evenings, Brewery Visits, Cinema and Theatre Trips, Bowling, Snooker, Games Evenings and Treasure Hunts.

As a teacher of English, I sent my three children to Melton College. Each returned several times because lessons were interesting, groups small, accommodation excellent and results promising. Students of mixed nationalities made communication in English necessary.
