The Horner School of English is located in the centre of Dublin, less than 10 minutes walk from Grafton street, the main shopping street in Dublin city.

The Horner School of English provides a wide range of English courses including general, business and exam preparation. Open all year round we pride ourselves on our excellent mix of nationalities, small class groups, quality tuition, facilities, accommodation and service. On arrival students are given a written and oral placement test and are placed in the class most appropriate for their level. Class groupings and teaching methods are planned to allow students to integrate easily and make progress quickly.

The Horner family are pleased to offer a wide range of accommodation options including excellent host family, city residence and city apartment.
Most students select host family and we highly recommend this choice. However, for those who wish to be more independent we can highly recommend one of the city residence or city apartment options. Most of these accommodations are within walking distance of the school and are excellent value for money.
Whichever option you choose you can be assured of the best quality accommodation. All of the accommodations have has been inspected and recommended by a member of the Horner family.

Shared Apartment

This accommodation is available throughout the year.
Spacious, bright and sunny 2 bed apartment featuring all modern conveniences and approx 15 mins walk from Dublin City Centre and the school. Available only to Horner School students so you will be living in a safe and secure location with 1 or 2 other adult students, also attending the school. The rate listed below is for your own private bedroom. You will share the bathroom and kitchen/living room areas only.
Homestay/Host Family

We have carefully selected each of our host families to ensure excellent standards with good food and comfortable accommodation.
Host families are familiar with taking adult students, so you will have the freedom to come and go as you choose. Most importantly, you will feel welcome in the family home and practice English throughout your stay.
The average travel time to and from the school is 45 minutes. You can purchase a Student Travel Ticket for the bus & train. You will receive information about this on your first day of school.
The host family will provide half board accommodation i.e. breakfast and evening meal. If you have any special dietary requirements, you should inform us of this before you arrive so we can select the most suitable family for you.
You can choose to have your own single bedroom or share with another student, just let us know your requirements at the time of booking. The family will provide a fresh set of towels each week and change the bed linen once per week. The family will also include your basic laundry items, such as, jeans, tee-shirts etc. once per week.
We also guarantee that there will be no more than one nationality per family (one Spanish speaker, One French speaker etc.) so you should not be tempted to speak your own language whilst staying with the host family !
You will be advised of your host family address and details before your arrival in Ireland. You can arrive on either a Saturday or Sunday – Depart also on a Saturday or Sunday. Check with us first, should you wish to arrive on a week day.
Horner City Residence

Available All Year.
This modern residence is located a short walk from the City Centre & The Horner School. Exclusively sold to students of The Horner School of English. Students hold a key to the residence and to their own bedroom. Sharing the common areas (kitchen, dining & living area).
LOCATION:
South City Centre, 20 mins walk to Grafton Street & Horner
School. Well serviced city centre location with coffee shops,
restaurants, food market, banks post office etc. all within the
immediate surrounding area.
BEDROOMS:
5 bedrooms all with private bathroom (shower, toilet and sink), built in wardrobes. Bed linen, duvet, towels supplied.
KITCHEN:
Fully fitted kitchen with 2 cooking stations, fridge freezer, electric kettle, toaster, microwave, pot, pans, cutlery & crockery. Table & chairs.
LAUNDRY AREA:
2 washing machines / dryers, iron, ironing board, mop, sweeping brush and a vacuum cleaner.
CLEANING:
Bedrooms are cleaned before your arrival. The common areas of the residence are cleaned once each week.
ARRIVAL:
Saturday or Sunday (times by arrangement). You will be met at Dublin
Airport and transferred to the apartment. This is the only way to
arrange collection of the keys for this property.
DEPARTURE:
Saturday or Sunday. Security deposit will be returned subject to the room/residence being in a clean and good condition.
INTERNET CONNECTION
Wireless Internet provided free of charge. No TV connection at this address
