The Explore London Experience is a programme for students aged 12-17 years, who come to London each summer to gain confidence in speaking English, make friends from around the world, and do lots of sightseeing.
After morning English classes, students on this year's programme spent their afternoons and the weekends visiting some of London's best-known sights, including Madame Tussauds, the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Camden Town and Greenwich.

Muswell Hill is a safe but lively and attractive part of north London in zone 3, 25 minutes from central London by bus/underground. Muswell Hill is like a large village within a city, with many shops, banks, bars and restaurants and all the facilities students need 5 minutes walk from the school. It is a very green area of London, with a large park and Alexandra Palace located behind the school.

Our Experience courses ( Aromatherapy & Massage, Fashion, Flower & Garden, British Culture, Sport ) are unique for a London school, and combine English with exciting learning activities. Excel English has an excellent network of good homestay hosts, many within walking distance of the school. We also use a high quality student residence, 12 minutes walk from the school where there are superior en-suite residence rooms during the summer. We can also arrange local hotel accommodation at affordable prices. The school is 25 minutes from the centre by public transport.

There are two good-quality hotels which provide bed and breakfast accommodation within walking distance of the school.

Residential Accommodation
We offer year-round residential accommodation in single rooms with meals within walking distance. All standard rooms have washbasins and shared bathrooms; superior rooms have their own en-suite bathrooms.
Residential accommodation is only available to students aged 18 years and over. The maximum age in the residence is 25 years September to June and 30 years during July and August.
Our residence offers breakfast and an evening meals every day, plus lunches on Saturday and Sunday.
Homestay Accommodation
Our homestay accommodation is located near the school (walking distance or up to 25 minutes by bus).
You will live in a British home with one or more friendly hosts and you will be able to find out more about British culture. You will have a single room unless you ask to share with a friend or relative. You can also decide in advance how many evening meals you have in the homestay each week.
