QE Summer School, Discovery Summer
Discovery Summer specialises in running residential summer courses for juniors (9-17 years) at top UK boarding schools e.g. Radley College, Shrewsbury School, Uppingham School, Woldingham School and Winchester College.
Our staff/student ratio is at least 1:5. In 2008, we welcomed students from over 50 countries worldwide. In addition, 10% of our students are our Resident English Student Hosts – a unique feature which ensures that English is spoken naturally throughout the day.
Location
Residential Centres: Radley College, near Oxford; Shrewsbury School, Shropshire, Uppingham School, Rutland; Woldingham School, Surrey; Marymount International School, near London; Winchester College, Hampshire. Non-residential centres: Family London half day courses in Kensington, Central London. Full day courses for 8-15 year olds - 12km from Kensington.
Social Programme
At our residential centres we offer a full after-class social and activity programme 7 days a week to cater for all tastes, interests and abilities. This includes: 1 full-day and 1 half-day excursion per week; afternoon activities such as arts & crafts, fashion, cookery, dance, film and IT plus a wide variety of sports e.g. football, tennis, basketball, badminton, swimming; evening entertainment such as discos, karaoke, dancing, talent shows, quizzes, competitions, team games.

I liked all the trips to London, Oxford, Warwick...we could see a lot and the English people were very friendly! I also like the student hosts because they talked a lot with us.
My second summer at Radley was the best. I didn't want to go home. I've learned so many new things and made so many friends with the teachers and students.
