Ramsgate has a beautiful seaside location and one of the best sunshine records in the UK. Relatively small, peaceful and safe, it has a relaxed atmosphere ideal for the serious student. The school is set in a quiet residential 19th century square with tennis courts overlooking the harbour. There are excellent transport links to London & airports plus fast sea & rail links to the continent. London is less than, and Paris a little over, 2 hours away. A Personal Meeting Service is offered.

We are happy to discuss your accommodation needs should you have particular requirements or you are welcome to arrange your own accommodation and pay the school only for lessons - please contact us for exact price details. You may still use all the School facilities including the Churchill Tavern and have free membership of the Social Club.
Family Homestay
The ideal way to practise your classroom work is to stay with an English family. You also learn about English people and their way of life.
We have a register of over 300 families who have all been personally inspected and classified. Families are revisited every year to make sure that the highest possible standards are maintained.
Our families are chosen for their cleanliness and comfort and for the friendliness with which they welcome you into their home. Ramsgate is not a large place so most of our families are within easy walking distance of the School.
Our families try their very best to help your English improve and do everything possible to make your stay happy and successful.
When you fill in your Enrolment Form there is a separate section for accommodation. You can choose a single or shared room (shared with a student of a different nationality) and half board or full board.
You also have other choices including whether you want to stay in a family with or without children, with or without animals, and who do or do not smoke.
Based on your choices, we use a a sophisticated computer matching programme and personal knowledge to select the most suitable family for you. We send details to both you and your English family so that, if you wish, you can contact them before you arrive.
2012 Family homestay prices:
Half Board (breakfast and evening meal from Monday to Friday and all meals at weekends) shared Room £89 a week
Half Board (breakfast and evening meal from Monday to Friday and all meals at weekends) single Room £99 a week
Full Board (breakfast and evening meals with the family and lunches in the Clubroom Restaurant from Monday to Friday. All meals at weekends with the family)supplement £25 a week
Hotel or Bed & Breakfast
If you don't want to stay with a host family you can choose to stay with a local bed and breakfast or hotel. Prices start from £215 a week.
We have small privately owned B&B just round the corner from the school and a hotel in the harbour, prices will vary depending if you need aroom only or prefer bed and breakfast.
The school owns Churchill Tavern which has a lovely country pub feel but is in a town, you will find a selection of lunches and dinners available or you have a choice of restaurants in the town centre.
Self Catering
We do have a few flats and bedsits for private rental if you would prefer to stay on your own and do your own catering.
