iTTTi Vancouver strongly believes in the body + mind connection. Vancouverites care deeply about healthy eating and exercise. From Yoga in the park, and skiing or snowboarding in nearby world class ski venues, to inexpensive community centers with gyms and pools, there is always something to do. Soon it will be spring and summer and we can test our limits with the Grouse Grind hike, a 2.9-kilometre trail up the face of Grouse Mountain ( “Mother Nature's Stairmaster!.”) or enjoy stunning scenery riding or jogging the world's longest uninterrupted waterfront path (28 kms!) on the Stanley Park seawall.
Even in winter though, iTTTi Vancouver finds ways of promoting exercise to our students. In our activities program we have hired a professional yoga instructor to come on campus and give a yoga lesson (don't worry, we have yoga mats for you to use!). We arranged for students to visit the Rox, occupying the Olympic Oval built for the 2010 Olympics. It features interactive media, hands-on state-of-the-art sporting simulations and displays. And from now we are challenging ourselves in March to the "Urban Grind". A 593 step climb to the top of the Harbor Center tower. Hope to see you there!
