From April 8th to May 3rd, Boston School of English welcomed a group of 19 young ESL learners from Thailand. Students practiced their English every morning in class before spending their afternoons putting their skills into practice outside of the classroom. They enjoyed many fun, interesting educational activities for a total cultural experience. Their activities program included exploring local attractions, shopping destinations, and museums in and around city of Boston, as well as a long weekend touring New York City.
The group leader, Seth, explained that the trip was more than a language course, but a valuable life experience, stating that “it’s a chance for the students to be on their own without their parents, to explore themselves and get to know themselves as they practice English.” The students enjoyed not only their newfound freedom and independence, but also the unique opportunity to make new friends with their new classmates from all over the world.
Boston School of English is looking forward to welcoming more new friends from the Land of Smiles again next spring, and plans to welcome students of nearly thirty other nationalities over the coming summer months.
