Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre in the Bridge Mills, Galway is Celebrating 30 years in business in 2017 – To help celebrate the school hosted a 30th Birthday Conference for English Language trainers and teachers on 20th May 2017 at the Radisson Hotel Galway. The school was founded by Beverly Bazler with quality at its core and today the school and teacher training centre is accredited by ACELS Department of Education, Marketing English in Ireland, ALTO, Quality English, Eaquals, Cambridge Examinations and TIE examinations. The school teaches English, Japanese, Spanish, Polish, German, Portuguese and Italian as well as TEFL (CELT) training courses for teachers.
This sold out event was a training workshop for teachers which linked to Continuing Professional Development for in service teachers or those in training. The conference was sponsored by Cambridge English Language Assessment, Study and Protect by O’Driscoll O’Neil Insurance and Gobus.
A team of international speakers included Jo Gakonga – Teacher / Teacher Trainer, Tim Goodier – Head of Academic Development -Eurocentres U.K, Carole Robinson – Senior Trainer – Norwich Institute for Language Education U.K. and three TEDtalks presented by Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre staff Julie Cuttance,, Gary Gallagher and John Doherty.
