MacKenzie School of English nominated in the British Council ELTons Awards

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Mackenzie School of English has been selected as one of 6 finalists at the 15th British Council ELTons Awards for Innovation in English Language Teaching 2017 in the Digital Innovation category. Competing against the BBC and other strong candidates, Mackenzie School of English was selected from more than 120 entrants.

Last year the school launched their exclusive Mackenzie Apptivities product based around a bespoke iPad app designed to complement their existing activity programmes. When used the app features one of several GPS enabled games that are designed to engage, educate and inspire Young Learners during cultural visits. The goal is to make learning outside of the classroom fun and enjoyable, and the development has been a huge success amongst students and partners.

Currently there are 3 games: ‘Get to Know Edinburgh’, ‘Royal Mile Tour’, and ‘Dean Village & Stockbridge’ with others in development due to be launched this year.

Winners will be announced at an award ceremony in central London on Wednesday 14 June 2017. To find out more about Mackenzie Apptivities click here.
