International Travel College celebrates two long-serving staff members

The International Travel College of New Zealand recently celebrated the employment milestones of two of their legendary staff members, Michelle Chatfield and Lesley Brough.

Michelle celebrated 20 years working at the College and Lesley celebrated 10 years. Michelle is ITC’s Head of Group Services and Lesley is the International Marketing Manager.

Both were treated like queens for a day of celebration, which included a team lunch, themed cupcakes, heartwarming speeches, and thoughtful gifts such as champagne and flowers.

Lesley says she felt honoured by the special celebration and for the many blessings that her 10 years with ITC has brought into her life.

“10 years at ITC has just flown by. It has been such an amazing time full of challenge, growth, fun, friendships, and lots of dress ups! I’ve had the privilege to meet so many wonderful people during this time and am so grateful to be a part of such a great company,” says Lesley.

As International Marketing Manager, Lesley is the College expert on all things international students and spends a lot of time travelling abroad to student fairs. This year, she will visit the Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, Noumea, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia, China, and Ukraine.

“Lesley is an absolute star, we are so lucky to have her on the team and in our lives,” says ITC chief executive Claire Huxley.

Michelle was also blown away by the day and excited to celebrate two decades working for the College. She joined ITC in 1999 and has worked in various roles senior management roles over the past ten years.

“Michelle has worked in many different roles during her time at the College, and her knowledge and expertise is second to none,” says Claire.

Michelle says she never expected she would end up working for 20 years at the same company, but from the moment she interviewed at ITC she knew she was going to be part of something special. “I vividly remember leaving my interview for my first role here and getting in the lift and thinking: I want to work for this company!” says Michelle.
