We are delighted to announce that our International English language tests, IELTS and OET, will be resuming in July in Cork English College.
In order to facilitate our IELTS candidates whose test have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 crisis, we have increased the number of Computer-Delivered tests that we are offering. We now have computer-delivered tests on 14th, 16th, 21st and 23rd July. If there is a need for more tests, we will be able to add more computer-delivered tests to deal with demand.
In essence, Computer-Delivered IELTS tests, which we have been running in Cork English College since July 2019, are exactly the same format as Paper-Based tests except candidates answer the listening, reading, writing sections on a computer. The speaking section is the same as the Paper-Based test and is done face-to-face with an examiner. Candidates who sit the Computer-Delivered IELTS test receive an IELTS certificate, Test Report Form, meaning the result, like the Paper-Based version, is recognised globally by over 10,000 recognising organisations in 150 countries.
All Computer-Delivered tests take place in Cork English College. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have a limit of 6 candidates per test in order to adhere to strict 2-meter social distancing guidelines. The listening, reading and writing take place in the morning with the speaking held in the afternoon.
In terms of Paper-Based tests, we hope to hold our next Paper-Based IELTS test on 18th July and our next OET on 25th July.
