Lewis School of English is pleased to announce their new Art Camp. If your students are looking for something different this summer, a more immersive and creative experience, they’ll love our Art Camp in the New Forest! At our 2-week camp, art tuition replaces English language lessons as students work with other teenagers from Britain and around the world, developing knowledge of art history, acquiring new skills and working as a team towards finally presenting their exhibition.
Students will create their own personal art storybook as they explore decisive moments in art history. They will choose artworks from the different ages following great art and artists from the time of cave paintings to the 21st century. Aspiring artists learn about the methods and techniques used throughout history and work in different media to discover their qualities and enjoy experimenting.
Taught by professional art tutors, the sessions will include drawing, painting and printing. Guided throughout the process, students produce a book to showcase the unfolding of their personal story with the arts.
Our Art Camp is for all students 11-17 years old with intermediate level (B1) of English and above. All abilities and interests are welcome - no prior art knowledge or skills required!
