ELC Brighton achieves a perfect score in British Council inspection

There is more wonderful news from ELC. ELC Brighton was inspected by the British Council in July this year and has just had the results – 15 out of a possible 15 areas of strength in the inspection report. This makes ELC Brighton the No 1 school in the UK (jointly) and Centre of Excellence based on EL Gazette’s rankings of British Council inspection reports and one of a small number of schools with a perfect score!

Chief executive Phil Hopkins said “We are all incredibly delighted and very proud with this wonderful news. It is a result of the great teamwork and focus on quality at ELC – teaching, administration, accommodation, social programme – and of course the support of all our partners."

This result follows on from the great inspection report for ELC Eastbourne earlier in the year – 13 out of 15 areas of strength (top 5%) – and together with our new partner school, English in Chester (14 out of 15 strengths, Top 2%) this makes ELC the highest ranking group of schools in the UK.

Amongst the areas of strength are teaching, accommodation, care of students and Safeguarding of Under 18s.
